We offer comprehensive child care for newborns and children of all ages, including: well-child care, treatment of acute and chronic illness, and care of minor injuries.

General Internal Medicine

We offer primary care for adults of all ages, including: physicals, treatment of chronic and acute illness, multiple in-office procedures, and coordination of care between specialists.

Acupuncture

Harmony Family Health offers acupuncture for general wellness and as an adjunct to conventional treatments for chronic and acute conditions.

Allen Family Magazine

Dr. Chartrand was recently featured on the cover of Allen Family Magazine.

Allen Family Magazine is the city's only magazine solely dedicated to families. This bi-monthly parent guide focuses on important issues facing today's Allen families. The mission of AFM is to provide parents with significant, valuable and accurate information on a variety of topics including education, home life, parenting, health, sports, arts and the community. AFM is a free publication mailed and distributed to approximately 20,000 residents and businesses in and around the Allen area reaching approximately 40,000 readers.

About Dr. Chartrand

Dr. Chartrand was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, where he graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2002. He moved to Texas and attended the University of Texas Southwestern Family Medicine residency program and completed training programs at Parkland Hospital, Saint Paul University Hospital, and Childrenís Medical Center of Dallas.

For the past three years Dr. Chartrand has worked in the Emergency Department at Graham Regional Medical Center providing comprehensive emergency services as well as holistic primary care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept health insurance?

We are out of network for all insurance companies. We ask our patients to pay us at the time of service. We file your claim for you electronically. You will receive an "Explanation of Benefits" from your insurance company within 30 days. You will be reimbursed directly depending upon your out of network benefits.

How do I pay for an office visit?

We ask that our patients pay us at the time of service. We charge $65 for an office visit.

For an additional fee we are able to offer procedures and diagnostic testing in the office, including stitching, casting, ultrasound, EKG, and lab work. The lab work is charged based on the individual test. Because Quest Diagnostic charges our practice directly for the lab work instead of billing your insurance company, they are able to give us extremely low rates which we pass on to you. For example, a complete blood count (CBC) is $11 and a cholesterol panel is $18.

At Harmony Family Health all costs will be explained upfront allowing you to make conscious well informed decisions concerning your care.
