We are proud to offer acupuncture at Harmony Family Health. Dr. Chartrand completed his training in acupuncture at Harvard's School of Medicine, in a course designed specifically for physicians trained in western medicine. Dr. Chartrand learned a technique of acupuncture known as "Kiiko." It was named after Kiiko Matsumoto who is known world-wide for developing and teaching this method. The acupuncture treatments typically last one hour for adults and thirty minutes for children. The Chinese meridians are evaluated for tender areas. Acupuncture sites are then chosen to relieve these tender areas, thus improving the energy flow throughout the body.
